Address type
Address type is a two letter code where the first character indicates what type of local subdivision applies. Those are as follows:
• AT = Urban areas
• AL = Countryside
• AO = Box addresses
• BO = Box addresses by box service providers other than Posten AB (Postnord AB).
• PO = Other postal delivery providers than Posten AB (Postnord AB).
• AS = Larger companies with their own postal codes.
• AR = Postal units, sorting centers, regional offices, etc.
• AN = Administrative post, so called ”Tävlingspost”.
• AU = Reply mail / ”Frisvar” - administrative post.
Range type
The range type consists of two characters. The first character indicates the data type where:
A – Alfa numerical
N – Numerical
The second digit indicates the purpose.
Address Range Code
20-digit unique range ID. A MD5 hash representing a unique combination of the values in an address interval. Can be used as a checksum.
